type me
DHNN aka Design Has No Name has recently created this awesome type book based on the works and life of Oscare Wilde. The type work is amazing, and the use of the grid layout is just phenomenal. It’s time to get working on my portfolio pieces.
I’m currently revising my logo development, and I’ve been receiving a lot of great comments. Its great having friends that aren’t afraid to give their opinions. Even if they dont have an eye of a designer (not to say I have one either), but they’re more meticulous about certain things compared to me.
This next piece if a pretty cool site. The splash flash intro loading page is pretty much the only thing worth looking at. For those of you who know what kerning is. It is to adjust the space between characters. Take a look at Max Kerning’s site.
*side note*
Last night I went to watch Celine Dion’s world tour live in Vancouver. It was by far the best concert I have ever seen in Vancouver, or anywhere in the world for that matter. I flipped through her $35 programme book and the few pages that had text in in, the type layout was very illustrative, which would’ve make the book worth buying, but I didn’t have $35 in cash at hand. hehehe
